Die PA-46-500TP Malibu Meridian (heute Piper M500) ist eine Turboprop-Version mit einem Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-42A Triebwerk. Die PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage (heute M350) wird von einem Lycoming TIO-540-AE2A Kolbenmotor angetrieben. Die PA-46R-350T Malibu Matrix (Piper Matrix) wird ebenfalls von dem Lycoming TIO-540-AE2A angetrieben, besitzt aber keine Druckkabine.
